risen trio

pokemon, yaaaay

maybe sometime in the future, I might attempt a nuzlocke comic.  Maybe.  I'm notoriously bad at this kind of thing though.
On the case that I never do a comic, here, have some concepts!

I'm doing a Soul Silver run (mostly for the story so I made one weird allowance for a trade) and I wanted to hash out some concepts for the legendary trio.
I'm calling them the risen trio because next time I see "legendary dog" trio I'll smack a bitch.  I'm fairly sure they're based on mythological creatures like liondogs, kirin and whatever the hell Raikou is (thunder demon, whatever), but they clearly bear a closer similarity to big cats.  Namely cheetah (spots and speed for Suicune), tiger for Raikou and lion for Entei.  Anyway, pet peeve aside, I didn't go with those animal-based designs, because they're supposed to be resurrected.

I just kind of ran with 'weird resurrected shit'.  Anyway, I'll tell you ideas I messed with that aren't important for the story.

Suicune
I turned the butt-ribbons into a creepy hand ribbon.  The mask is based off its face, the major horn in the centre is still an arch.  The spots at its neck just kind of hover in the air, the neck itself is just kind of a pipe that fades away into the empty space behind the mask-face.  The legs are done like boney points because in my head, after the collapse, the pokemon that it was before it died was trapped, pinned, and simply wasted away from starvation, heat and lack of water.
Seeing Suicune is thought to bring either confidence and victory, but it also has been said to cause feelings of breathlessness and loss.

Raikou
I know the cloud crest isn't there, I just didn't feel the need to replicate it three times.  Essentially the same cloud-halo as Suicune, just thundercloud-like in shape.  The curly cheek fluff didn't really fit with the mask face so I made it into a weird coiled ribbon thing.  Aww yiss ribbons.  It's missing part of its legs, the main part and foot part are held together with electricity (physics does not work this way, but POKEMON SO I DON'T CARE).  In this story, the pokemon Raikou was before it died had its legs crushed by the collapsing tower.  Ho-oh fixed this kind of.  It'd have pretty good suspension, if you think about it, just stretch and contract that gap as you need. No beer spills ever again.  The tail is a stump with an orb that is basically a plasma ball.
Just causes were said to bring Raikou as a herald of success, however other reports have indicated that its presence brings betrayal and subversion.


Entei
The most fashionable of the bunch with its sick bracelets.  The cloud-halo would be smokey, like something constantly smouldering.
This one was the most fun because of how shaggy it is.  Its neck hair (sick neck beard, bro) has two parts, the outer brown part and the inner white part.  It has three spikes on either side of its spinal column, totalling six on its back.  They are like grey charcoaled wood in texture and appearance.  It has three spikes on its chest, in a line down its breast bone.  Guess how it died? That's correct: impalement! Yaaay!  It is also the coolest because it has fluffy feet.
Entei was said to lead those who were lost back home, but it has been known to herald nightmares of being consumed in flame and burning nerve pain that lasts for days.
